Sherri L Scott, MS, LPA, MINT, MAGL has 20 years experience working in a wide array of Health and Human Services organizations and providing ministry services to children, youth, families and adults.  Ms. Scott's undergraduate degrees (AAS in Human Services and BA in Psychology) and graduate degree (MS in Clinical Psychology) were completed at UAA in 1996 and 1998, respectively.  She completed her Master of Arts in Global Leadership (MAGL) through the School of Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary.  She has been licensed as a Psychological Associate in the state of Alaska since 2001 and became a licensed and ordained minister in 2008.

After 20 years counseling youth and adults, Ms. Scott's expertise is providing clinical therapy and faith-based healing interventions for acute distress; in particular, issues related to acute family disturbance, trauma, grief, addictions, spiritual abuse and developmental/leadership transitions.  Her clinical skills and ministerial expertise are sought by professionals and leaders as she provides training seminars and itinerant speaking engagements around the world.  After years providing intensive clinical therapy and ministry services, Ms. Scott spends much of her time ministering to pastors and missionaries and mentoring leaders in power evangelism.  Her passionate dedication is evidenced in her full-time commitment to equipping and empowering others to walk in the freedom, love and power through Christ Jesus as well as her engagement in global outreach and humanitarian aid interventions.    

In addition to the aforementioned qualifications, Ms. Scott has substantial research, evaluation, program management and training experience having worked four years as a Research/Teaching Assistant in the Psychology Department at UAA and four and a half years as Project Manager for Behavioral Health Research and Services at UAA.  Her teaching and consultation influences have shaped local, national and international audiences amongst a variety of community, professional and university settings.  In 2006, Ms. Scott became a Motivational Interviewing International Network Trainer after two years of extensive training and supervision in Motivational Interviewing (MI) and practicing MI in a variety of research and clinical contexts.  She continues to offer Motivational Interviewing seminars locally, nationally and internationally for para professional and professionals working with clients in the fields of addiction, corrections and high risk sexual/medical behaviors. 

Throughout her career, Ms. Scott has evidenced an exceptional gift for writing.  She is a published author in addition to producing numerous volumes that have helped shaped local, state and national policies and laws.  Ms. Scott's current project is the first of three volumes planned for publication and distribution; Operating in the Prophetic, Healing Ministry, and God's use of Miracles, Signs and Wonders.
